Rain stops play on Saturday
For both the 1s and 2s rain caused their Saturday matches to be abandoned after the first innings with the matches void for their league table positions. That was not before Adam hit a maiden century for the club and Brocky hit 86 against Kilmarnock at Nunholm in massive total of 339 for 7, and Sultan and Harith each took 3 wickets for the seconds at Kilmarnock 2s. The Sunday XI got a completed game in but insufficient runs resulted in a straighforward win for visitors Lanercost. And Macey flew the flag for WCC/DCC at Carlton Women, batted well and was denied, by a drop, of the wicket of the former Scotland Captain. Read the club report HERE

The Kilmarnock match can be watched at www.youtube.com/@DumfriesCricket and the many boundaries from Adam's ton are clipped here,

The 1s remain at the top of Western Premiership 2 as all matches were abandoned. The 2s stay at the top of Western Championship 2, just, despite second place Hillhead registering a rapid win.

Scotland Pathway Cricket
Nairn has been playing at the cricket week at Barnard Castle with Scotland U15s.and has been picking up wickets opening the bowling. Undefeated Scotland play undefeated Ireland on Friday for the medals.

And Munro managed to make a debut for Middlesex Schools in the field against Scotland when they were a player short due to injury and took a great overhead catch in process.

Well done to Cory with runs during the week for East Cumbria U13s, including 45 in the first game, as they won a four team Cumbria regional contest and Niamh has been playing in the Women's two-team Regional Series at Heriots in Edinburgh.
